One of the main problems with traditional UV lamps is the presence of mercury which, when disposed of, has serious environmental consequences. In each traditional UV lamp there are between 20mg and 200mg of mercury, while our UV LED systems are devoid of it, also guaranteeing lower consumption, reduced heat emissions and high optical performance. These systems of ours are easy to use: in the industrial, chemical, biomedical, food and wellness sectors. Air and water purification are also important applications of UV LED technology. The light emitted by the LEDs (UV-A, UV-B or UV-C depending on the technology adopted) effectively kills biological impurities such as viruses, bacteria and protozoa.

FuocoFreddo is able to help its customers in the development and subsequent production of UV LED systems, both thanks to the considerable experience gained over the years in the biomedical sector, and through the use of appropriate equipment.

UV-A / UV-B LED solutions

By means of the photocatalytic principle, the use of UV LEDs and suitable materials, we have been able to develop customized applications for: farms, odor / VOC reduction, water bacterial reduction and insecticide lamps. In addition, FuocoFreddo has created projects for tanning lamps and many of our new projects dedicated to this world are currently under study and scientific approval.

UV-C LED solutions

Irradiation with ultraviolet germs (UVGI) is a disinfection method in which UV-C light is used to inactivate microorganisms by destroying their DNA / RNA and leaving them unable to reproduce. In the healthcare sector, guidelines on surface disinfection are based on the degree of risk. High-level disinfection is recommended for semi-critical patient care equipment such as endoscopes, breathing circuits and respirators. Intermediate and low-level disinfection is recommended for non-patient critical care surfaces such as blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, leads, and environmental surfaces.

The compact size and high efficiency of our UV-C LED systems allow them to be used in innovative projects.
